The objective of the project was to set up a full methodology for the CFD calculation of ship-to-ship interactions.

NUMECA's FINE™/Marine software suite was used in order to solve the trim and sink unsteady behavior of each ship during the crossing. Several ship speeds, drafts and ship types were used.

The results (trim and sink as well as forces and moments) were compared with the available experimental data.
